A week away!!!!!

Karter was happy just sleeping

Papa's prize fish

We ran away from home for a little over a week. We all left last Friday and went to my parents house. On Saturday we went to the mountain to spend the night at the cabin. It was our family, my parents, Candace, Steven, & Colton, and Bart. We had a good time. Angelo, Bart, and my Dad went fishing that afternoon. My Dad said he "Was going to teach those turds how to fish". and of course he caught the biggest fish. The kids had a good time riding the 4 wheelers and play down at the creek.

On Tuesday Me and the kids, Mom, Candace and Colton, and Stephanie and Byron drove to Creede, CO. I had never been there. My mom took us to see a play at the Creede Repertory Theatre. It was called Meet the Beasts. It was a play about the Fables of Aesop & La Fontaine. The two actors acted and sang about the different fables. The kids thought it was great. Aubrie loved it she still talks about the fable of the cat that turned into a woman. We tried to look in all of the different shops around Creede but it is hard because we had soooooo many little hands to control and everything it Creede is very very expensive. It was great fun!!!!! Thanks a bunch Mom, you are the greatest!!!!!!

Candace looking hot (I told her I was going to post it, I don't think she believed me)!!!!

Friday and Saturday was the Manassa Pioneer Day's. The annual event we all look forward to. We all had fun. Friday we all ate lunch after the parade at my Uncle Tom and Aunt Eunice's. That afternoon we took the kids to the carnival they enjoyed riding all of the rides with their cousins. I am so glad that they have cousins their age to have fun with and make memories. That evening we went and had the famous hamburger stand burgers and listened to the entertainment. Aubrie had a fun time dancing. I wish I would have got a picture of that. On Saturday we got up early and done it all over again. We had such a wonderful week we are so blessed to have such a wonderful family to be able to enjoy spending time with.

Happy Anniversary

Today is mine and Angelo's 12th Anniversary. I guess you could say "has it all ready been 12 years" or "Boy has it been 12 years" depending on who you ask and the day you ask :). It has been a good 12 twelve years for the most part. I think everyone has those times and days when you wonder why you took the plunge, but I am sure glad I did. I have one wonderful husband and 3 great kids because of it. So I am going to list the top 10 reasons I love Angelo.

1. His has great big strong arms and I am glad he know how to use them. He is definitely not lazy especially when it comes to yard work.
2. He always helps me cleanup after dinner. Even though he has gone to work all day he still helps me.
3. He is a wonderful husband. Even if I don't feel especially hot or cute. He tell me I am.
4. He is a amazing father. He is totally in love with children and he loves to play with them.
5. He loves to serve others. He never gripes or complains when he has to help someone. He just does it because he knows he will be blessed.
6. He has a strong testimony and is not afraid to share it.
7. He has a very kind heart. He doesn't like to hurt peoples feelings.
8. He doesn't like to fight. I sometimes like to pick fights, but he will not fight back with me. What a smart guy.
9. He is a wonderful provider. He would work all the time if he had to. Just to make sure I was able to stay home with his children, because he knows that it is important to me. And because it is important to him.
10. He cleans toilets. And that is why I keep him around. :)

This is just the tip of the iceberg there are so many reasons why I love him. And I am so glad that he is mine for eternity!!!!!!!!!

Swimming Lessons

Karter at swimming lessons

For the last 2 weeks the girls have been taking swimming lessons. They were at 8:20 a.m. (Too early). I was worried that it would be way too cold at that time in the morning, but the girls survived. They only complained a few times. They have both really improved. I was worried about Karlee but this last week she has done great. They both were able to past level 1. So next year it will be on to level 2. Hopefully next year we will have the time and energy to do more than just 1 session. Here are videos of them jumping off of the diving board and the edge of the pool. I still can't believe my girls actually jumped off of the diving board. It's shocking because I am such a chicken.

4th of July and Karter's Blessing

We had a busy weekend. For the 4th we stay in Pueblo because Angelo was on-call. We went to my Uncle Ronnie's house that evening for a BBQ and fireworks. We had a lot of fun. It was fun to be with family. The girls enjoyed the fireworks. Aubrie had no desire to light them but Karlee little miss no fear lit them with the help of her cousins. Karter slept through the whole thing. I started to wonder if he was deaf but then I remember where he lives. The fireworks were no match for his screaming sisters.

Saturday my whole family came up because Sunday was Karter's special day. That evening we BBQ'd and then we all went to City Park to the rides. The kid's had such a great time I wish I would have got more pictures. We even got my mom to ride the carousel and the train. Sunday Karter got blessed. Angelo done a great job. He said Karter kicked the entire time. I think he looked absolutely adorable in his suit. I think it makes him look just like a little man. I am so glad everyone was able to come it made it that much more special.

Where has the month gone????????

One month ago today was Karter's Birth Day. Where has the month gone? In ways I can't believe he has been here one month. In other ways it seems like he has always been here. He has been such a blessing to our family. We are so glad to have him. The other day at the library a woman came up to me to look at Karter. She said "So is he like 3 months?" I said "No he is actually 3 weeks." He just continues to grow. But I wouldn't want it any other way. He definitely no longer has the newborn look. But then again I don't know that he ever did.

Here are a few pictures from out trip to the sand dunes. On Friday we met mom, Candace, Steven, Colton, Stephanie, Byron, & Carson at the dunes. We almost didn't make it there Aubrie had not been feeling good sense Tuesday. But I am glad we went the kids had a great time and it was good to just relax and enjoy them playing. Angelo didn't go with us because it was the big Street Rod National weekend. So he sent us on our way to spend the weekend at my parents that way he didn't feel guilty for leaving us alone all weekend.
