Happy Halloween!!!

Well we survived Halloween. We were a 50's family this year. Everyone dressed up, except me. I feel bad I didn't even get a picture of Angelo dressed up. He looked just like Karter just bigger. The girls had so much fun wearing their full poodle skirts. My mom made them and she done a wonderful job. Thanks a BUNCH Nana. What would we do with out you!!!!! This is a picture of the kids before we went to the trunk-or-treat at church. They had a great time there with their friends. Angelo and the ward missionaries were in charge of cooking scones, hot cocoa, and cider. Angelo loves to do that. Thursday night we craved our pumpkins. The girls lost interested after the first ones were done. So they went to bed and me and Angelo were up till 9:30 finishing the rest of them. Next year I vote that we only keep 1 pumpkin per child instead of 2 (and then some) per child.

This is the first year Karlee would clean out the pumpkin guts.

This is what Karter done during the fun of craving

The girls had a blast going trick-or-treating. And they got way TOO much candy.

Murder on the Prairie

Saturday night we went to our friends murder mystery party. We had fun time. I was a Can Can girl named Lulu Peachy. Angelo was a gun slinger named Red Eye Mitchell. We were both suspects but come to find out neither of us were guilty. Come to find out my dear friend Kasi is capable of murder. It was a fun night and it was fun to see everyone in costume.

Karter's first meal

We went ahead and gave Karter cereal the other night. At his 4 month check-up the Dr. said it was fine to start feeding him anytime. Well I held Angelo and the girls off as long as I could. I have just not been looking forward to feeding him. I think I feel that way because I am not ready for him to grow up. Plus it is way more work than just pulling up your shirt. Also he definitely does not look
like he is starving. We have feed him cereal a few times at supper that way he can feel like he gets to eat with the rest of us. But he has not acted like he is a fan of eating, or maybe it is just the cereal. He is probably waiting for his Big Mac.

What a Week!!!!

I feel like I have not posted anything forever. I have missed blogging so much. Where should I start Karter turned 4 months on the 2nd. He went for his checkup on Oct 7. He is doing great he is weighing in at 14lbs 12oz and is 25 1/2 inches long. He is a great baby. The things he mastered this month were rolling over both ways, sucking his thumb, he found his feet and I have learned the only baby socks worth spending money on are Old Navy socks. They are the only ones that stay on.

Can you believe he has blue eyes? The Dr says that is the color they will stay.

Karter's favorite passed time.

I was also planning on posted pictures of Karlee's class trip to the pumpkin patch so here they are.

So now that I've posted the things I had planned on posting for weeks now, I can get on to blogging about my week. This week has me now believing that I am definitely losing my mind. On Monday I couldn't find the chocolate syrup that I had just had earlier that day. I found it later that day in the the closet. Tuesday I called my Mom to tell her Happy Birthday. I started talking to her and realized after I had hung up that I had neglected to tell her Happy Birthday. Tuesday Nathan picked his friend Claudia from Argentina up from the airport they came and stayed with us that night. Claudia is so nice. The girls loved her. It was so nice to met her and hear about her life in Argentina. I feel so bad I FORGOT to take a picture of her. Wednesday I forgot about parent teacher conference that had been scheduled for weeks and I had received several reminders about. I would have never even realized it but my friend Kasi keeps me on the straight and narrow. I was able to reschedule it for Thursday. I did make it there on time and found out that Aubrie is doing great in school. Friday I went to Hobby Lobby found everything that I needed, stood in the long check out lane forever, went to pay and discovered I forgot my wallet at home. Saturday I went to a auxiliary leadership training because I am in Young Womens. When I came home I had an message to call the Bishop. That is never a good sign I was praying it was just for a talk. But why would the Bishop need to come to our house to visit with me and Angelo for talk? Well today I was put into the Relief Society as the Education counselor. I know absolutely NOTHING about Relief Society. So I just want to publicly tell everyone I have lost my mind and I am sure that if there is any of it left it will be gone shortly. I am excited about Relief Society although I have a lot to learn. Aubrie is even more excited about it because that means I no longer have to be gone on Tuesday nights.

Award winning Pumpkin????

We decided we better go ahead and pick every thing that was left in our garden. We had heard it was suppose to start freezing tonight. So when Angelo got home from work we went to work. Several people from Angelo's work had decided to have a giant pumpkin contest this year. Every one planted pumpkins to see who could grow the biggest. I am not sure if Angelo won or not. But we are pretty proud of our pumpkin it is the biggest one we have ever grown. Including that pumpkin we got 14 pumpkins all together. We are thankful for what we did get from our garden this year because I noticed the pumpkins at Wal-mart the other day were $5.00 per pumpkin. We are sad to see the garden and the produce come to an end. The girls are already looking forward to planting the garden next year.

Can you believe the pumpkin weighs 60lbs?

Swimming in Hooper

Once again me and Angelo spent the weekend apart. I think doing that once in a while is healthy for us it makes us appreciate one another a little more. Angelo had tickets to go to the Air Force vs Navy football game. So me and the kids picked up and went to my parents for the weekend. We met everyone in Hooper to go swimming on Friday evening. There is a natural hot springs pool there. It was a lot of fun. The kids enjoyed being able to swim and have fun with the family. We even got to see my Dad do a flip off of the diving board. Darn I wish I would have got that on camera. Karter got his first swimming experience and he loved it. He loved to float on his back in the warm water.
