Daddy's little helpers
Angelo has been working the early shift 6a-3p and we love it . It is so nice to have him home early and not have to be in such a rush to get the evening things done. Tonight Angelo and the girls pulled weeds and mowed the lawn while I cooked dinner. What good helpers.Karlee is the only person who can get away with mauling our cat socks. This evening she decided socks was going to learn to drive her car. We are so glad we have him. He has all but eliminated the rabbit and mouse population in our back yard. It is very rare that a day goes by with out kids scream about a "present" Socks has left us.
Help!!!!! The orthodonist is going to love us. Lately Karter has turned into an even better baby than normal. Because he has learned where his thumb is. You have to admit it is darn cute. But now how do we keep him from sucking it????????
Karter has also learned to roll from his stomach to his back. I am not ready for him to be doing this. Please ignore the weirdo talking in the background.

Sisters
I had to post Karter's sad face. You can always tell when he is going to cry because you get the lips first. I think that is about the cutest sad face I have ever seen.

Move over Martha
I am no where near Martha or my Mom. But I am trying to learn. My Mom picked us up a box of peaches so I decided to try my hand at jam. I have never made jam before because my wonderful mother has always done it for us. I am not sure if mine will taste alright or not. I went all over looking for surejell and fruit fresh and couldn't find either. So I have come to the conclusion either I was too late buying my canning supplies or the people of Pueblo really don't can and freeze food, so the stores don't supply them. Anyway on the positive side the jam did set and the lids did seal so I must have done something sort of right. We haven't tasted it yet so time will tell on that. I also froze several bags of peaches for cobblers and zucchini. I have a new appreciation for all the work my mom has done each and every year of my life to make sure our family had fresh yummy food canned and frozen. Thank a Bunch Martha (I mean Mom)!!!!!!!

Labor Day
Angelo was feeling bad the other night because he doesn't get equal blog time. I told him he was free to blog anything that he wanted but somehow I don't think that will happen. So I will go ahead and add something about his hobby. Angelo has a 1948 Ford two door sedan that he has been restoring. This Labor Day week he took it down to Alamosa for the Early Iron Street Rod show. He went by his self because apparently we did not communicate effectively and we double booked ourselves. I think it was because the Labor Day weekend ended up the last of August. Anyway he went to the valley and I went to the Sugarland concert at the State Fair. Nathan was my date and we went with Bart and Stephanie. It was a lot of fun. Thanks to my Mom and Dad they came up to babysit. I didn't think that they would have an opening act so I figured we would be out by 9:30. So they decided to walk around the fair with my 3 kids and Bart and Stephanie's 2 kids. What saints :). But guess what they did have an opening band so we didn't get out until 10:30. Sorry again Mom and Dad. Me and kids went to my parents house on Sunday. It was nice to just get away for a day.

Look who is 3 months old!!!
Karter turned 3 months old yesterday. I am in denial I just keep putting him in his bassinet. Hoping that if I do he will just keep fitting in it. But by looking at the picture you can tell he almost doesn't. I took him to the Dr. last Monday for a check-up. At that point he weighed 13lbs 8oz and was 23 3/4 inches. That is actually less than what I thought he would weigh. The warning on the bassinet says it is for use for babies 0-3 months or up to 15lbs which ever come first. So I guess I am going to have to suck it up and put my baby down the hall in his crib :(.
